The 31stAnnual Prescott Fine Arts & Wine Festival presented by the 67-year old Mountain Artists Guild, takes place on May 13th & 14th, 2017. This juried art festival showcases a select group of over 150 artists on the park-like setting of the historic Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott. Resting at 5,300 feet elevation and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery makes this an exceptionally attractive venue for exhibiting artists and festival participants alike. Original oil paintings, jewelry, watercolors, photography, glass artwork, sculptures, ceramics and more are all represented by the exhibiting artists. In addition to spectacular collectors’ artwork, the festival presents a wine tasting garden representing the finest Arizona vineyards and wineries. Wine tasting tickets can be purchased for $12.00, which includes five tastings and a souvenir wine glass. A variety of delightful foods and unique packaged gourmet delights will also be available. Located along Prescott’s infamous Whiskey Row, haunt of the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday, the festival site is within easy walking distance of great restaurants, unique shops, galleries, saloons, parking and hotels. This annual event kicks off the area’s festival season each new year and attracts people and artists from all over the country who enjoy fine arts and wines.
The Mountain Artists Guild is a non-profit 501(c003 organization dedicated to providing art education to all ages, as well as showcasing both amateur and professional artists. Annual scholarships are awarded to Yavapai County students pursuing careers in the visual arts.
